For commercial fishermen, as another marker of the start of the 2019 season, Louisiana Sea Grant agents are holding fishermen meetings in the same areas and times as NOAA TED checks.  These are great opportunities to learn about what’s new in the industry, best practices, and coastal adaptation strategies, as well as checks for proper measurements and installations. The U.S. Coast Guard may also be available at some locations for dockside safety exams, with no enforcement actions taken.
