The Lab hosts participants in the Aquatic Foods Conference and Multistate hatch project annual meeting

On June 11th, the lab hosted the Aquatic Foods Conference and the multistate hatch project annual meeting, Advancing Aquatic Food Product Sustainability: Improving Quality, Utilization, and Safety. We welcomed participants from across the country—including Alaska, Oregon, Maine, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana—giving the lab national visibility and recognition for its work. Today, the Seafood Lab is seen as a model for other states looking to grow their own outreach programs.

After spending time at the Seafood Lab, the group went on to spend several days in New Orleans where the group was hosted by the Laitram Machinery Corporation.
